Hadrian's Wall Art Trail 2026
Three weekends of art, landscape and discovery along Hadrian’s Wall
This September, the Hadrian’s Wall Art Trail returns, celebrating artists, creativity and the remarkable landscape and communities surrounding Hadrian’s Wall.
Inspired by this year’s theme Underfoot / Overhead, the trail invites you to look down, look up and experience this extraordinary landscape from a different perspective.
Discover 80+ artworks from artists across Cumbria, Northumberland and beyond, including painting, print, photography, textiles, illustration and mixed media.
Alongside the exhibitions, there will be creative workshops, performances and special events taking place throughout the three weekends.

Explore the trail across locations along Hadrian's Wall.
Refreshments will be available along the trail, so take your time, explore the exhibitions and make a day of it.

Friday 4 – Sunday 6 September
Friday 11 – Sunday 13 September
Friday 18 – Sunday 20 September
All exhibition venues open 11am – 4pm
Cost
Entry is FREE to visit all exhibitions and artworks across the Hadrian’s Wall Art Trail.
Participatory workshops are also free to attend, although some will require advance booking as places are limited.
The closing weekend features a special live performance by Anne-Marie Sanderson & Isabel Rumble at The Threshing Barn. This is a ticketed event, with tickets priced at £15 / £10 concessions. Click HERE for tickets.
